Thought of the day
Jesus gave his staffers clear instructions on what to do with his authority. Heal the sick and raise the dead. He even told them what they were to wear and whom to talk to. He did not just send them out without a plan. Delegation of authority requires a tremendous amount of trust. Perhaps there are many confused employees, because there are so many fearful people at the top. If leaders operate out of fear, they cannot delegate. A leader who does not delegate will end up with a group of Yes people who will ultimately lead to his demise. To grant authority is to leverage one’s gift. What guide lines have you given your staffers about what they can and cannot do?
